Ukrproduct Group’s flagship Starkon Plant has been accredited, first in Ukraine, to the ISO 22000 certification.
The certificate underscores the status of Ukrproduct Group as Ukraine’s leading and most advanced dairy manufacturer and facilitates the expansion of the Group’s sales both abroad and domestically to the Ukrainian subsidiaries of world’s leading FMCG companies.
Note: ISO 22000, Food safety management systems – Requirements for any organisation in the food chain, is an international standard published in 2005 to ensure safe food supply chains worldwide. The Standard provides a framework of internationally harmonised requirements for the global approach towards food quality and safety. The Standard has been developed within ISO by experts from the world food industry, along with representatives of specialised international organisations and in close cooperation with the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the body jointly established by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and World Health Organisation (WHO) to develop food standards. A major side benefit of the Standard is that ISO 22000 will make it easier for companies worldwide to implement the Codex HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system for food hygiene in a harmonised way which does not vary with the country or food product concerned. |
